How do I use my Phone Edition / XDA as a modem for my PC?

Can I use my Pocket PC phone edition to connect to GRPS and provide internet access to my PC? This would be handy when I need to connect my laptop where I can't get dialup and/or highspeed.

Answer:

There isn't a way to easily do this that I would consider usable for the average user. If you are ambitious and really need to do this, there is a procedure at XDA-Developers on how to do it in bootloader mode. There are some substantial negative effects that exist when you are using the Phone Edition in this manner.
