I'm really sruggling with the battery power!!

This phone is perfect for what i need it for, but the battery drains soooo fast. Minimal browsing, some basic talk time, a few messages, and I'm running low before I even get off of work. Are there extended memory batts for this phone?? Any good tricks or reg edits that really help??
BTW I don't have any fishy apps installed that keep my system working when it;s not supposed to..

Bluetooth device source of problem??

I've had a similar problem with my SMT5800. I've found that if my Bluetooth headset is acting squirrely, it will drain the phone's battery within a few hours. Try disconnecting any Bluetooth devices connected to the phone for a day or so.

A little late to answer, but I just came across this...
Anyway, the two things to check are screen brightness and how often your phone checks for emails (if it's set to do so.) Screen brightness over 6 or 7 will take a lot of juice from the battery and, of course, if your phone is set to check for emails very often, it will do the same.

new battery

I have been upset with battery life since the first day I got this phone, shortly after Verzon started selling them. It got noticeably worse the last month so I figured my battery was going bad and ordered an oem replacement from eBay for about $9. Same battery, same specs, made by HTC. I can now go through two days of moderate calls and constant exchange email vs. 10-12 hours at best when the phone was new. Aaargh! All I needed was a battery that did what it was supposed to.
