And this is just a nice little edit if you have a storage card since IE is such a storage hog. Ignore the last step that tells you after you did the reg edits to delete the old programs folders in the Windows directory. They won't delete on our phones, but it will in fact start sending all data to the storage card instead.

Before I get up on my soapbox for my personal review, a couple of foundational points in which I base my observations.

1. This is my first smart/pda/phone
2. I've used it 30 days
3. I do not try to run my company or my life on it.

I don't think anyone who is a first time buyer of this type of phone would have any of the issues that you, in this audience, have articulated as worthy of returning it.

Slider and battery issues aside my biggest gripe is more about the OS and carrier then the phone itself (More on that in a second).

I really think the form factor is amazing as I find it very comfortable to talk on for an extended amount of time (Finally an engineer was required to use it for a week sans bluetooth).

I wish the keys were larger but feel it's more a matter of holding your tongue just right and soon I will be able to text at 10 words a minute just like the rest of you thumbnuts.

The 2 soft keys are the worst issue that I have using the phone, the ones on the keypad are ok but the ones on the slideout are not in the right position which makes their use cumbersome.

The Camera: Ok I admit I could care less about taking a picture of everything in my life but that's mostly cause I forget I am always carrying a camera. Should a disaster happen in front of me you can be sure I'll take some money shots but they will probably have an orange tinge to them because everything else does. One other thing there should be a pull-out cheat sheet under the camera (like desk phones) that tell you how to use all the controls cause you ain't gonna remember all of them

As well built as it seems to be I am afraid of dropping it because I don't think it would stand the same type of abuse as my old LG-VX8100 (The Rock).

Add-ons: Oh my god everytime one of you guys mention the latest or greatest little ditty I got to go run, download, and install. Now I have a bunch of programs that I'll never use, taking up, god only knows how much memory.
Speaking of which, do you really have to use the task manager to force the release of memory back from all the programs started?

Bluetooth: Haven't bought one for this phone so don't know yet.

Now about Verizon: siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh

So enough about the phone my last comment are about the OS.
I'm a WinTel guy and as such I am accustomed to things not working as advertised. Windows products hang at some point. Always have and I suspect always will and this will happen more/less dependent upon the equipment running it.

Last but not least thanks to all of you in this forum who put up with us newbies like me trying to find the call button.
