The one thing that irks me the most about my Imagio is that the screen will only go to landscape for the camera, the VCAST TV, and the Internet Browsers. With anything else only portrait is available. I would really love to be able to make it go landscape for other programs. I have found a couple of free routines that will set the phone to do this but they won't work because the Net Framework on the phone is the wrong version (go figure an older version of Framework would be placed in the most up to date version of windows). Can anyone tell me what is the best routine that will allow me to toggle landscape mode at will on the Imagio?

I use g-config and it works flawlessly for me. I even have the desktop set to rotate. You can add any program to the whitelist and they will rotate. I haven't found one app that I could add to the whitelist. You will have to download the latest .NET CF plain and simple. G-config also has a blacklist so that programs that rotate that you don't want to rotate will not. I haven't used the black list yet so I don't know how reliable that is but it is great for everything else. Look on xda developers for it if interested.
Thanks for the info. So I take it that there will not be an issue with installing the .NET CF? That's the biggest thing I'm concerned about. At this early date I don't want to take a chance on bricking my phone.

I've had it installed on my phone for two weeks with no issues. You can download the .exe from microsoft...I just don't trust to many mirror sites. I installed .NETCF 3.5...and its been working like a charm.
I don't know why verizon shipped our phones without the current update of .NET but its an easy install to update. I used active sync to transfer the file to a folder on the phone and just ran the installation off the phone.
Nevermind. It would not install because it was already installed. The Windows Marketplace automatically updates the .NET CF when you go to the site. Also, I downloaded the G-Force and the program works well. Some screens just are not conducive to going into landscape mode but I have added all the programs that I wanted to switch. The one big thing about G-force is it makes the screen change much more quickly than it did by default.
Thanks for the info about the G-Force and .Net CF 3.5
Anyone able to get the touchflo added to the list? everytime that I try to start it when adding it just adds "start" and then it rotates the start and bottom bars but the screen goes black. specifically the texting part is what I want to go to landscape, not the entire touch flo part.

I just installed this gconfig app on my Imagio, but i can't figure out how to add apps to the whitelist. I must be missing something. I'm not sure where to 'insert the stylus' after I open the application.

You just put the stylus back in your Imagio. it has a sensor.
1 Run G-config with stylus out
2 open program you want to rotate
3 place stylus back in
4 ok on the messages
5 now take stylus back out and soft reset.
6 once the phone comes back you should be able to see the program in the whitelist.
