Very new so I am saying FAVORITE at this point but not neccessarily the best:
1. SPB Backup (Need 2.0 or up) -- Best program every to completely backup your whole phone onto your memory card. Creates an exe you can run to restore your phone just like it was when you backed it up. I always do this after major tweaks.
2. No Call -- $2 program that lets you block/allow/filter calls based on users, group, or about anything. You can create multiple files such as Clients only, family only, NO calls, etc. Add the rules and contacts and one easy checkbox sets you to whichever profile you want.
3. Fake Call -- I believe it is 99 cents. This is just a program that you hit a button and it makes your phone ring as if someone is calling. I assume this is ideal for blind dates but it can come in Handy if you are trying to get out of some place without being rude.
4. Core Player -- Great little Divx/H264/mpeg-2/3/4 and about any video format player. Plays full screen and looks great.
5. White Noise -- Another Marketplace program. It simulates a ton of different sounds from plain white noise to crickets, ocean waves, etc. Its a 3 or 4 buck app that does what expensive stand alone devices do. It has a timer on it so you can decide how long you want the noise to go on to help you sleep.
6. Cradle Alarm -- Great Alarm clock/Reminder. Make sure you get the newest one from Market. It has a bunch of graphics and templates to set and allows you to decide how loud and the ascending pattern with the option to vibrate. I will warn you that be careful on making the ascending go too fast. I had "We Will Rock You" Crank up at what seemed like 130db which literally made me jump about of bed.
7. Bejewled 2 -- Popcap makes some nice time killers and Bejewled two is great. It is identical to the PS3 version.
I am BUMPING my own thread. Surely other people have bought some killer apps. I know many like the SPB Shell. It looks great but I have found the HTC one to look better and be a lot smoother in operation.
The Fake Phone call for 99 cents is really great. I used it today to get out of a meeting early when I was really not needed anymore. I said it for 20 minutes into the minute and it rings with a real client and picture showing up and it even has a voice so people can here you talking to someone else.
Microsoft Myphone - Backup your phone info to the internet then access it from your phone, another phone, or a computer. Used this to transfer all my old data from my i760 to the imagio.
WMwifirouter - turns your phone into a mobile wifi hotspot. Hit the button and in seconds you can connect a laptop or ipod to the internet wirelessly. Was unstable and hard to use on the i760, but works great on the imagio!
Slinplayer mobile - Why pay verizon $15 a month for a couple channels? With a a slingbox at home and slingplayer mobile on my phone I can watch any cable channel I have at home on my phone at any time, and I can also control my DVR. Had this on the i760 also but with the small screen it was hard to watch. It looks great on the imagio!
PHM Registry Editor. Great FREEWARE registry editor!
PS: Thanks for the reminder on the Slingbox mobile. I need to find the CD that came with my Slingbox because the mobile version of the Sling Player is not freeware like the PC version.
Where do I start... Excuse my shot descriptions, if you want more info ask. Not numbering because they are in no order...
--- PHM RegEdit - The best registry editor in my opinion and its free.
--- No Calls - Easy app to block calls before they ring, but still show up in your missed call. Very customizable
--- Fake Call - You can make it look like any contact is calling you. The only thing I don't like about this is the generic calling screen. It doesn't come close to looking like the Windows Mobile 6.5 screen when you get a call.
--- SlingPlayer Mobile - Amazing app if you have sling player. I can fully control my Direct TV DVR with my phone. Schedule shows to DVR, watch DVR'ed shows, watch and channel live etc...
--- Resco File Explorer - A more powerful file explorer than the slandered WM 6.5 one. Very handy if you need to create or modify .lnk files or anything else.
--- SPB Time - My favorite alarm clock app. Works great and is simple. I have had this on every WM phone I have owned.
--- XDAShutdown - Very similar to the Imagio screen you get when you hold the power button but you can create a .lnk file with an added extension, then map it to the media button. Then a simple press of the media button puts the phone to sleep and locks it. Written in C++ so its very fast.
--- WMwifirouter - Shares my phone internet connection with one, or multiple computers via the phone wifi. Best part is Verizon cant tell the difference so its unlimited data and doesn't cost the extra $15 a month for tethering.
--- Bing - Great app and I recommend this over all the other similar ones like Google. I use this to quickly find addresses, phone numbers, or check traffic on my way home from work.
--- Facebook for Windows Mobile - Nice little Facebook app. I prefer the Facebook mobile site for browsing but this app is handy for uploading photos and videos.
--- Microsoft My Phone - Great app that backs up your contacts. I do this using Outlook but always good to have a second backup. If you pay for the premium service you can locate your phone via GPS or even completely erase your data remotely if it gets stolen or something.
--- Netflix Mobile - Lets me edit my que, read reviews, etc...

This app is fully skinnable, which I did right away. Not that it matters because I never see the actual confirmation screen. I have it so when I call the app, it puts my phone right to sleep and locks it. I love the app. If you try it and need help send me a PM
It looks cool the first few times you do it but then it wears off for me. It is about functionality and I just feel like the HTC interface works well. So you can spin around the screen and add some widgets. It looks cool but really doesnt make the phone any easier.

I kinda disagree. I think having some of the functionality on the front (main) screen with out having to flick, scroll or press a button is quite beneficial. If it was possible (may be but I haven't found it) to dictate exactly what you wanted on the tabs bar....i may agree. I just uninstalled SPB Mobile Shell (getting phone replaced this afternoon) but I was able to have access to excel, word, IE, SMS/MMS, email and some other apps on one screen and had 6 or more apps available within 1 flick and one touch on the next screen.
This is my first smart phone (coming from the Env2) and have had the iPod Touch for a year and a half so maybe my preference is partially due to my familiararity with the iTouch/iPhone interface.
I am adding WMWIFIrouter to my list and pulling PDANet off of it.
PDANet allows you to tether which is handy for me when I visit certain places where I dont have Broadband access. I used it to tether. There is a hack to do that for free. However, WMWIFIrouter will allow you to do wireless through the WIFI in your phone with WEP encryption, blue tooth, tethering, and other methods. It also unloads itself correctly when done.
It is $29 bucks and I paid $20 just to upgade the PDANet. I should have done more research first. Anyways, live and learn!
Here is my current TOP 5 MUST HAVE apps for the Imagio:
1. SPB Backup -- Having a sound backup on your memory card is a neccessity!
2. HTC Clean RAM -- Best program for optimizing your memory at scheduled intervals and allowing you to tweak to save battery life.
3. No Calls -- Easiet to use and best Call Filtering program out there for setting profiles with blacklists, whitelists, etc.
4. PHM Regedit -- A free easy to use RAM editor.
5. WMWIFIRouter -- Turn your phone into a internet access point with Wep Encryptions as well as the option to tether, use bluetooth, and many other options.
I'm surprised that not to many people are using Microsoft My Phone to back up their contacts, pics, music, videos,.....etc. This is a very good app to have and is better then the VZ Backup assist if you ask me.
