I have been very pleased with the phone functionality of the Wing so I am not sure what difficulties you are referring to.
THe phone stuff works fine. The buttons are large enough (I have fat fingers), photos associated with contacts appear during incoming calls, and voice dialing works pretty well too.
The bluetooth support is quite dependable which means I do not have to type in numbers very often. And the Wing connects to my car bluetooth as well -- I even get signal strength and battery levels on my car display and I can voice dial, manage call waiting, etc.
The only thing the Wing cannot do that the
iPhone can do is the iTunes application support. Other than that, the
iPhone is on overpriced device that does what
Pocket PCs have done for the past two years. Yeah the interface is cool but at $500, I think I will stay with my Wing and use the savings to buy cool apps for it that aren't available yet for the
iPhone.
