T-Mobile Wing + WiFi + Active Directory Domain? HELP!

I guess that the topic pretty much explains my dilema. I have an Active Domain LAN with a NetGear WiFi Access Point that works pretty well with my old Toshiba laptop. All of the systems in my AD Domain/Forest work great, as well as the laptop for accessing files on the servers.

I tried to setup my brand-spankin' T-Mobile Wing to access my AD Lan via the WiFi AP (Access Point). I can connect just fine to the AP, and the AP shows a forwarding connection for the MAC of the WiFi chipset for the T-Mobile, and the login information for the AD user in the WiFi Status dialog for Settings > Connections.

I think that I need to add the T-Mobile Wing's DeviceID as an entry in "Computers" on the AD Server, so if there is anyone else out there who has encountered the same or similar problems with their Wing or any other WM5 or WM6, I'd appreciate sharing experiences so I can nail this down.

Thanks!

Can you explain what you are trying to do in more detail? Are you trying to access drive mappings on your AD environment or are you trying to access exchange server?

If you are trying to get Exchange to work with your Wing, I cannot help you because I do not use Exchange for my email.

If you are just talking about accessing machines on your network, then this could be the result of an assortment of issues (not all related to AD). Are you trying to do authentication through Active Directory with the Access Point (via LEAP or TKIA or something like that)? Can you ping servers on your LAN after connecting to your Access Point?

All that I'm trying to do is access drive mappings and other share points on my LAN, such as my server that holds all of my music and some video content, and nothing more complicated as that.

My network configuration:

Gateway: 192.168.2.1
IP Blocks: 192.168.2.100 to .150
Other Systems: 192.168.2.101 to 111
NetGear AP: 192.168.2.120
T-Mobile Wing: 192.168.2.121

I get excellent WiFi access to the Internet, but no on the LAN side of things.

Any help?

My guess is that you need to configure you advanced connections to display Work Network for your internet connection rather than the TMobile GPRS. This should give you access to your workstations on the LAN. Unfortunately, this may not give you Internet Access unless you check the box that says "This connection has access to the Internet".

Setting your advanced connections in this manner should only be done at home because outside of your personal network, you will likely not be able to access any other public wifi networks for Internet access so outside of your house you will want to reset that back to TMobile GPRS.

Try that and see if you make any progress.
