I changed the settings in order to use the proxy trick with Tzones. Now I am not able to connect to my Yahoo account directly from the main screen. forgive my lack of technical terms please. thanks for any advice in advance

I am not sure what you mean by the proxy trick but it you are referring to changing the Connections settings to something other than the TMobile Data for your Internet settings, then that is probably your problem.

Changing the first pulldown in Connections->Advanced->Select Networks will likely render any application that needs the Internet unable to do so. Did you also change the setting that said this connection can access the Internet?
