It's definitely time to replace my 4 year old h6315. I was at a T-mobile store last weekend looking at the Wing, and they said to wait until this summer as they were replacing it with a new 3G version. But haven't they been claiming that 3G is "coming this summer" for the past 3 summers now??

I think I can wait it out until Christmas, and buy myself a nice little 3G PDAPhone from Santa, but while I wait, has there been any news on the new phones coming out? Pics? Specs? Anything?

if you are referring to the iPhone 3G, They will not sell it in T Mobile. I spoke to someone in customer service the other day and they told me only AT&T is going to have it for now.

Hi Amanda! Been a very long time!

Well I have had my Wing for a year and it is wonderful! I do not miss my old 6315 (it is still sitting in its box somewhere in the basement). While I have had lots of success with it, the only thing that really bums me out is the EDGE network. I have been been waiting like you for TMobile to finally roll out its 3G network.

But they are SO closed-lipped about stuff! I have not heard anything about a release date or what new PDAs they will be offering that support it. I am hoping the since the iPhone is bringing out its 2G models in mid July, that TMobile will be forced to respond in kind.

I would love to have an iPhone under TMobile but so far Apple won't break its exclusive deal with AT&T. Even though TMobile supports the iPhone in Europe. Bummer!

I know that if you have an unlocked iPhone, it 'will' work with the TMobile EDGE network. You can get them on eBay...

So I think we just wait it out and see what TMobile offers either this summer or winter. If they don't release 3G by then, I might have to see what other options are available. I would hate to leave TMobile though.
