Um it should go DIM for 30sec or so then off.

I bet something is running like media player. mine will not go off unless everything is closed or i select the LOCK button <power button>.

if u want the phone to completely turn off the light after 30sec..

u might want to try to go to the power feature..

go to the settings, then go to power, then the advanced tab.. and that should be the area where you select "turn off device if not used for" and that should turn off the backlight...

I have the same issue on my wing, and god forbid the phone rings and I don't pick up or a reminder goes off because the stinking screen will stay on for hours and drain the battery. That happened to me when I was out camping a few weeks ago nearly drained the battery completely before I noticed it so the moral is take the damned thing out and check it every once in awhile because there's obviously a bug in there someplace. I complained to tmobile because when I was getting my email on the wing it kept keeping the screen lit up and killing the battery but they obviously did nothing about it after that complaint, I thought it was just me so maybe we all need to yell to get it fixed.
