Caller ID not being announced
I just upgraded from the 6700 to the Diamond. Voice Command on the 6700 used to announce the names of my incoming calls, but the Diamond does not. Is this normal, do I need to change some settings? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums!
1.) Go to: Start > Settings > Voice Command
2.) Select Phone
3.) Click Options
4.) Check the "Announce Incoming Calls" checkbox

8,
do you have to train the voice calls or do you have to just turn that option on and it reads the numbers from caller id?
for example, the blueant supertooth II read the caller id without having to do anything other than load your address book in to it...

Sorry I am not 8, However, I hope you are over the milk spitting!!
Marc,
From what I have found. I think it is the microsoft voice built in. You do not need to train the voice. You say a name and it works. I have not tried the caller ID yet. I do know that when you dial out and same a name it works great and no need to train the voice...

It's Microsoft Voice Command. No training required & yes it will sound out the numbers if there's no name match in your address book

Thank you for your help. I didn't realize there were individual settings on that page.

Sorry,
Was a reference to this quote. Lame humor. My bad. I did not intend to be rude.
