Diamond Touch screen, what is it like?

Those of you that have your Diamond's already, I am curious about the feel of the touch screen. I know they use a resistive touch screen instead of a capacitive touch screen like used on the iPhone.

I like how the iPhone's screen has that solid glass feel. I am wondering, has the technology with the resistive screens evolved enough to the point where it can feel like that or almost like that or does the diamond still have a bit of that soft screen feeling to it?

Obviously there has been some improvements to the technology as there is a youtube video somewhere demonstrating multi-touch capability on the diamond. I had thought due to the physical nature of the way resistive touch screens work, it was not possible for it to recognize multiple touches. Then again, said youtube video only shows it over the d-pad/buttons area which very well may be a capacitive touch technology down there.

The Diamond screen is very similar to it's predecessors. The iPhone definitely has more of a glass feeling to it.

The diamond has a solid diamond feel, and it's slick. I don't know anyone with an iPhone but my friend has the ipod touch. I'm a bit confused because his screen is soft, real soft softer than my mogul's and diamond's. Do they use different screens than the iPhone? It doesn't have that glossy solid look, more of like a somewhat porous surface, cloudy looking.

But who needs multi touch on the screen anyway? I never got the point of this except to make a one handed device, now require two hands.... kinda defeats the purpose.

the diamonds screen feels real close to the iPhone.i have the itouch and the screens feel similar. even though the ipone/itouch is glassy, the diamond is plastic--but its smooth and silkyand feels really clsoe to the apple's screen. i think if you are loking to get the diamond and you are familiar with the apple's touch screen, you will have no problem with the diamond..

cchris, the itouch screen is really shiny and clear.its not milky or cloudy.. same screen as on the iPhone

Nice, that sounds good. I know of some touch screens, like some of the cheaper touch phones (not windows mobile or anything) out there by LG and Samsung and the screens feel kinda soft and squishy, like even worse than the feeling of an oldschool Samsung i730 or XV6700/6800. I was just hoping the diamond was more like the iPhone as far as feeling solid.

Anyway, sounds good, I can't wait to get my hands on a Diamond even more now.
