Post your Bluetooth Headset Experience Here

If you're using a bluetooth headset with this phone, please post your experience here:

1.) Earpiece volume (how well you can hear other callers)

2.) Mic volume (how well other callers can hear you)

3.) Static and/or choppiness

4.) Other bizarre sounds (e.g., the Z9 makes all sorts of weird noises when active)

5.) Voice command compatibility (e.g., which features work)

All of these items vary from phone to phone (in my experience), which is why I've started this thread.

I've managed to loose yet another headset & will be shopping for one soon, so I'd like to hear everyone's feedback.

Im using the BT3030 dog tag thingy with my own set of high dollar ear buds and this far all is well. its at the same level as the mogul. no pairing issues at all.

the call quality is what i expect- people can hear me just fine although the BT 3030 will pick up wind noise if you in a windy area as it does not have any noise cancelling.

no static on the bt3030 and no choppy calls.

I have the blueant supertooth III and its call quality is nice and clear. i didnt try the blueant before i added the audiopara files so i dont know if they helped or hurt but the calls are nice and loud with the STIII. no choppy sounds, callers here me fine.

i have the bt8010s bt they are not charged up so i cant test those.

ive also tested the BT on the Blueant M-one BT stereo speaker and it sounds GREAT!

i dont use voice command so no comment on that.

Wow that's quite a selection there. Those are all headsets that interest me so thanks for your feedback.

I have a Motorola BT820 I think... One of the first one to have the Music control buttons

1.) Earpieces volume (how well you can hear other callers) Great

2.) Mic volume (how well other callers can hear you) Great

3.) Static and/or choppiness: Low Static, Choppiness does occur listening to music when the phone is in my pocket, no clue why.

4.) Other bizarre sounds (e.g., the Z9 makes all sorts of weird noises when active) No weird noise.

5.) Voice command compatibility (e.g., which features work) I've never got voice command to work regardless of what i say, all she ever says is please repeat lol... actually just listening to music and got a call, voice command tried to say the callers name, so that worked.

Like I've said earlier The volume on it was great out the box, I just installed the audio files in another thread, can't really notice a difference for the bluetooth though

I use it mostly for music (stereo), and when my g/f does that crap where she wants to sit on the phone for more than 2 minutes lol.

I have the original jawbone. The big black one. Volume is great and I have had no complaints from my customers that they cannot hear me. Voice dialing for the most part works good. I have noticed that what you say is not always how she prononces it back to you. I think it is a pretty good device. The best one I have tried

is BT any better than the touch and mogul?

I'm about to get one but I wanted to make sure the BT stack is better than the one that came with the Mogul and the touch. Do people complain when you all use your bt headsets? any problems with incoming calls going mute after activating the BT headset?

Thanks,
Sid

Jawbone II

1.) Earpiece volume (how well you can hear other callers): Excellent!!!

2.) Mic volume (how well other callers can hear you): No Complaints

3.) Static and/or choppiness: None

4.) Other bizarre sounds (e.g., the Z9 makes all sorts of weird noises when active): None

5.) Voice command compatibility (e.g., which features work): Full compatibility

6.) Comfort: Very Comfortable

I can't say enough nice things about this headset. I have tried MANY headsets in my life & have always had problems with them. A common complaint is that I can't hear the other caller very well, or they can't hear me. This headset has outstanding volume, without having to do any hacks at all.
