Voicemail Disappointment

I'm a little disappointed!!! When I ordered my phone on Monday I asked the sales rep if it had the same type of voicemail as the Instinct. (Downloads to the phone so you dont have to dial in and get your messages like th Iphone). She was very quick to tell me yes. I was very happy!!! and then I get the phone and it has regular e-mail. I was so looking forward to that. I'n my line of work I like to have my customers leave a message. If it is stored on the phone then I do not have to write anthing down and when I'm finished with the job I just erase the message and i dont have to dial up everytime and listen to all my messages just to hear the last one on the list. I wonder if sprint will add this option????

The service you are speaking of is called visual voicemail. I myself have not used it. However, many companies offer this as a third party service, such as call wave. If you google "visual voicemail" you will be able to compare all the options and prices. I am not sure if the diamond will get visual voicemail. I doubt it. Somebody may be able to chime in who has used one of the third party types. Good Luck!!

The problem is that Sprint charges 20 cents per minute for call forwarding. This could add up quick with the amount of voicemails I get in one day

cachatz, I agree with you that this would be a great feature to have on the phone natively, just like it is on the Instinct & the iPhone. I'm hoping there's a day when they are able to license this on other devices besides the Instinct.

Have you tried the one in dashwire? I noticed it on there but didn't get that far, took it off. Every time i would look (maybe edit) a contact, make a call, felt like anything and the program would run and make the device slugish. And the only thing that interested me about it was the text from a computer didn't work.
