I've always wondered why the right & left ear cords off the headphones are 2 different lengths. Is there a technical reason for this? It looks really awkward when you're using them to listen to music.
A lot of headphones are like this for some reason, I think it is if you have the device off to one side of you or in a pocket, the different lengths account for theoffset of it being in a pocket or whatnot. At least that is what I think.
Speaking of which, have you gotten your Diamond yet? I am curious if you guys on Sprint get FM radio in your Diamond's.
Not really an expert on this but the way I use it that seems to work out better having one side longer. I wear my phone and ipod on my right side. The cord comes up the right side and then behind my neck. The left side earbud goes behind my neck so naturally has to go further to reach my ear and the right is shorter. Like I said, not an expert but it works for me!
Its that way so instead of dangling in front...one ear bud wraps around the back of your head to the other ear.
I also think it greatly reduces your chances of accidental strangulation.
Yeah, these earphones are the first thing I'll be replacing.
Many radio stations have live feeds over the web, which might be an alternative to the FM radio. Native FM seems so easy, though. Wonder why it got dropped.
I ordered this adapter from Boxwave. Basically it allows you to use your favorite earphones with an adapter that has an integrated mic. I'll let you guys know how it works out.
good to know! do you end up with a lot of excess cord between the mic/jack to your ear? because of where it plugs in, that was the one thing that concerned me.
Just to clarify, do you have the adapter with the integrated mic or do you just have the adapter? The one I picked up has a built in mic that attaches to your shirt.
