Sprint Diamond Users aGPS or Real??

So I thought I heard this bad boy had a real GPS unit which also had a awesome program from HTC to speed up satellite acquisition? Any one have it yet and know I'm not getting mine till Tues?

It looks like it will. I downloaded the Sprint PDF users manual and it talks about "Downloading Satellite Data via QuickGPS" program. Also "Use your device’s built-in GPS capabilities and the Sprint Navigation software to easily access both directional information" I think that could go either way cause aGPS is a built in capabilities. The quotes are both from the users manual on page 174 and 175. It also has a cool picture of the program with little satellites spinning around the planet. Looks good to me!

SO the first person who has it in there hands please let me know very very curious.

PS good to hear from you Marctronixx
Thanks
NuLL

I've seen it called "Assisted-GPS" which to me says it's real GPS, but when it can't find a satellite (as in indoors or the woods on the golf course (I seem to be in the woods alot)) it'll use the cell towers.

no i think the device has a dedicated GPS antenna which means its going to soley use SATs and not cell towers. aGPS uses cell tower triangulation and will also use SAT info obtained thru the cell network whereas the GPS antenna just looks at the birds in the sky....

Marctronixx I agree this thing is the REAL deal I love it can't wait to see pro. I want to the tv out adapter and app cause i think this thing will do it. You guys see the stock adapter with this? First ever with a STANDARD headphone jack! I'm loving Sprint and HTC!

Where did you get the TV out cable? Looks like RCA jacks. Love to be able to plug my Pro up to a projector. That sounds professional, but I'd probably just fool around.
