Some video's to tie us over...

My order is in & the Diamond should be in my anxious hands within days. In the meantime, here are a few video previews of the Sprint Diamond from the CTIA show:

part 1: YouTube - Sprint HTC Touch Diamond demo - part 1

part 2: YouTube - Sprint HTC Touch Diamond demo - part 2

By default, it plays the low quality version. Make sure you click the "play in high quality" link underneath the player window.

A few observations:

1.) I couldn't help but notice the reviewers battery indicator go from full to 3/4 of a charge in the short 7 minutes he was doing his review. Let's hope there were some extended periods of activity between the various clips of this demo.

2.) The demo of Teeter in part 2 looks awesome! I'm sure that game will keep me busy while traveling around.

3.) It looks like there might be a built in Facebook app, which would be awesome.

4.) That burgundy backing is just not right. I hope it grows on me.

it could be possible that the phone wasnt at full charge and was about to go to the 3/4 mode that you noticed...

either way it looks way faster then the same phone we were given to demo about 2mths ago.

Yeah the unboxing video posted on phonedog.com, makes the Sprint version look much more responsive than the GSM version.
