The list of applications below is compiled by both the Treo 700w and HW6500 users and tested to the limits to which we can. Some users will find apps that work fine and others that don't. Some apps will work well with other apps loaded and some won't. Please always use caution when installing and testing out new applications and above all use a backup utility before you try something new if you don’t like hard resets.
If you are looking for software you can visit our affiliated store (it helps to keep the lights on and the servers running) http://www.mobihand.com/pdaphonehome...p?deviceId=411 (this link is set for the HP HW6500) you can also visit www.pocketgear.com and www.handango.com please note that developers have either not tested or may not have updated their info so the app you want may not be listed as compatible. Give it try and email the developer with a link to this thread and let them know you would like WM5 240x240 support.
I need everyone’s help to make this thread more user friendly. When you list an app if you could help me by providing the following:
Application Name:
What does the app do (i.e: game, utility, PIM,etc)
Revision # that supports 240x240
URL to developers site or store:
Did it work: Yes or No
If No why:
Applications tried and/or tested by users to fit and/or work on a 240x240
[Applications tried and/or tested by users to fit and/or work on a 240x240
Apps tested by users that kind of work but need 240x240
PocketNav (I think it has problems)
Sbp Time (not thoroughly tested though)
SPB Pocket Plus (BETA still a bit odd)
MarsWare Weather panel partialy works. Today screen part works ok. Maps and other data are somewhat cut off. Its kinda difficult to enter the reg code in, you must press the Windows key (or the one next to it) to remove the onscreen keyboard.
PhoneAlarm v1.25 did NOT work for me, but v1.26beta1 works without any problems.
Update: PhoneAlarm would not allow me to use the Phone Settings panel to change ringtones, etc. That makes it not so user-friendly. I'll report it to Bruce at PocketMax and let him know.
OK, Sprite Backup version 3.0.1 does *NOT* work, as you cannot set the advanced options, etc. on the square screen. The version of iPAQ Backup that comes with the hw6515 is actually a more current (and tailored for the hw6515) of Sprite Backup with all of the advanced features of the Sprite software.
TinySTocks currently does not support 240x240. You can't see the portfolio summary at the bottom of the screen. Mailed them and reply was that they will support 240x240 in next release,.
