Audible Book Player

The Audible.com audio book software won't run with the 240x240 display. It recognizes that the display skin does't fit and bails out. Man am I bummed. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.

Journal Bar :(

Journal Bar will load but does not fit. You cannot modify it at all.
I have emailed customer support and they have no plans as of yet to updated it.

This is one of my favorite applications !

Here is the general email address:

info@omegaone.com

Here is the link to support for Journal Bar:

http://www.omegaone.com/support/jbform.htm

If you like this application either email them or use the form.

Thanks !

I stopped using Journal Bar long ago due to its memory leak issue. I would write to OmegaOne and voice your concern. They offer free updates, but what good are free updates if they don't fix the problems and address resolution needs.

I did write to them and they told me that they know about it but have nothing in the works.

I am unaware of the "memory leak" issue. Can you tell me more ?

Also, what would you suggest using instead ?

Magic button works fine for a free way to have the close button really "close", not minimize a program. Available here:

In previous version of JB little by little the available memory was disappear. Omega Once claimed it was due to the way MS implements the today screen plugins and ultimately they could do nothing. So I refuse to use their apps even though they are free upgrades for me and I tell people to stay clear as well.

Has anyone tried using MS Reader to play Audible.com audio books. Since the audible player software won't run on the hw6500's 240x240 screen this might be another way of listening to your audio books.

Thumbs up Audible.com Player

Audible just sent me an email about new AudiblePlayer software. Should solve hw6515 240x240 screen compatibility problems!

I'm still waiting for the hw6715/6915 so I can't confirm the fix but if anyone does try it then please post results.

I am currently working on updating the list of software and preparing one for the Treo 700w as well since they both are 240*240 (treo does get WM5).
