Exclamation Please HELP My Hp 6315 Wi-fi gets connected to internet but not working

I bought a Hp 6315 pda phone on Ebay. When I got everything worked great. It actually a t-mobile hp 6315. I am using it in canada with a Rogers sim card. Anyway, at first time when I tried the Wi-fi , it worked and it got connected to internet. But after a few days I tried to use its Wi-fi I encountered with a problem. The thing is that it shows all the wireless connections and it even gets connected but then when I go into INternet explorer and when I type in any www address it gives a message that your page doesn't exists.
There is a self test that the phone does by itself to check if everything works and in the test it shows it works. Please someone help me and tell me what to do. The other thing is that I don't have any softwares.

I'll really appreciate it if someone could help.

um... do you have a valid IP address? in other words is the device getting an IP like 169.xxx.xxx.xxx?? If it is, then it's not receiving a valid address and there's your problem.

Have you assigned it a manual address at one point when you were using it somewhere? In other words you had to assign it an address of 128.xxx.xxx.xxx or 192.xxx.xxx.xxx or something to that effect to use the internet but forgot to change it back, ergo making it unusable from your home network as it assigns a different set of IP addresses.

I have the same problem. I am unaware that I've manually assigned it
an ip address. How can I tell?

I frequently get the problem that it's connected but I get the page does
not exist message.

Sometimes, I get connected on my laptop at a site--like Panera... but the
ipaq sees the site but won't connect. Then other times it does. No rhyme
or reason that I can see.

I wish I could get resolution on this issue. It's the only thing that
is intractable on the 6315.

Sometimes a soft reset will help. But usually nothing I can think
of will make it connect. Help!!?? Bill Hale
