Unhappy HP 6315 Rom Update Problems

Here is a head scratcher for you guys...
I have an ipaq 6315 that was locked to t-mobile.
I bought an unlock code from nhat khoa (sp?) that worked great.
After unlocking, when I put a cingular, at&t or even another t-mobile sim in the phone, I get the "invalid sim" message.
I flashed the phone with a lot of different roms I found on hp site & elsewhere.
Then I flashed with SP29760_6315 which is 1.00.38?
Now, when I put the original t-mobile sim back in, it works but if I put any of the aforementioned sims back in, it just searches for a signal; never finding one.
I would just like to use this phone with cingular, not t-mobile.
Am I doomed to this one darn sim card?

maybe a simcard issue. try a different sim card as people have had their share of experiences between 32K SIMs and 64K SIMs

Try to install none-T-mobile sim card and check for preferred networks. It looks like your phone just can't read this information from other cards. I guess, if this your case, you can just add other networks manually.

BTW

go 2 settings -> phone -> network -> and play with different options )))

First of all, just try to find any network. And check the list.
