SDIO-wifi on h6315?
So I am having the same problem as most people, can't connect to wifi. Actually, I was able to but I keep losing connection. The question is has anyone ever went out and actually buy a SDIO wifi card and stick it in their h6315 to see if this method works.
If it does, I rather spend another $50 than knocking my head on the wall every single time I lose a wifi connection. Please reply with advice or suggestion on this subject.
Another question/discussion topic
My H6315 has the 1.11.10 rom version I got from here. Update my Wifi driver to the latest on HP's website (2.00.49.63). Don't know if more info is needed.
Here goes my problem. I have a crappy Netgear WGR614v6 (could be my problem since I've never had another wireless router in my home) set up to broadcast ssid and with wpa-psk password. DHCP enabled. MAC address not activated. Wireless router located in bedroom with main computer.
While in the living room (wall-to-wall with bedroom), my ipaq 6315 will display my SSID as available on the wireless setting but it won't connect even after telling it to connect. My settings on the PDA is network card connects to internet through work (just to keep GPRS off).
SOMETIME, (wifi left ON on pda) it will automatically connect to my wireless router and I am able to surf online all I want. After a couple minute it may disconnect me. I have notice that I connect to my wifi more ofter if with the AC adapter on. To prove that it's not that my phone that can't see the signal (I bought it off someone on CraigsList and the attenna cap is gone) I went and sit right next to the wireless router and it still won't connect. Sometime, it won't even list my SSID as available. Another point is that when I'm at my school (college), the pda won't even show the school's SSID (they have a login system through the webrowser).
I am confuse. The wifi is not dead on my pda as I am able to connect occasionally. I just can't connect all the time like on my laptop. Talking about laptop, I guess it wise to note that sometime, I do have problem connecting to the Internet on my laptop even if the laptop CAN and CONNECTED to my wireless router. My solution was to run over to my router and unplug it and plug it back on. This don't have often though. Could it be that my router is bad? My PDA have bad signals? Help!
