Arrow Using SDHC on HP 6315?

Hi!

I am wondering if the new Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) cards would work on the HP 6315? I have read somewhere that it works on the Treo 700W. Has anyone tested it? SDHC cards are for some reason much cheaper than the regular SD cards. Let me know!

I've been wondering this myself. Also, does anyone know the max SD capacity of the 6315?

Yeah they work. I have a Adata 4gb card since they came out a few years ago. Flimsy card, I don't recommend it, but definitely recommend a 4gb card.

4gb a data sd cards

Dear gcc,

I went looking for the a data 4gb sd and see there are several types.
Can you say which model specifically works in your 6315?

Don't want to do an experiment when not absolutely necessary!

Thanks, BIll Hale

Anything new?

Just wondering if there was any new information on this subject, such as an updated driver or hack that would allow a 6315 to recognize SDHC cards. I recently bought a 4GB SDHC card after reading that our 6315 would handle 4GB and incorrectly assuming all 4GB cards were SDHC (it's hard to find any that aren't). I've found updated drivers, but they are apparently for WM5 and thus wont work with our iPaqs. Any help would be appreciated.

Where's MoMo when you need him? I doubt anyone is interested in writing a software update for our ancient device.

SDHC cards don't work on my MDA, which uses Windows 5, and there isn't a patch to make them work. Therefore, I cannot imagine them working on Windows 2003, which is an older and more primative version of Windows CE.

I BELIEVE the SDHCs can work with Windows 6, but I haven't tried it as I don't have a W6 device--I THINK you still need a patch for that.

SDHC devices don't work with a lot of SD adapters on PCs, but the SanDisk MobileMate SD+, Model SDDR-103 will--it works with SD, Mini-SD, TransFlash and several others--and the SDHC versions work, too, with XP-Pro SP2.

Yeah.. my 1yr old HP laptop has an integrated card reader, and it cant handle the SDHC. Whats up with that?

As far as I understand it, its a software update, and not hardware. Why doesnt HP make an update already?

I don't think it's S/W--my two laptops won't read SDHC chips, but if I plug in the SanDisk adapter into either of them with an SDHC chip it works.

Yeah, that's a pain. But OTOH, BestBuy has the Sandisk adapter and it's small and inexpensive.
