Bluetooth modem question

Hello everyone,

I have an ipaq 6315 (cingular) and a dell laptop with bluetooth and i want to surf the net on my laptop thru my ipaq. i can connect to the ipaq's GPRS by dialing *99# on my laptop but i was wondering if there was any way to make it dial a dial-up number just like if it were a land line phone plugged into my modem.

Thanks in advance

what do you mean? not clear....

if you mean instead of using *99# can you use your own ISP's number...then the answer is yes...so just change the *99# to xxx-xxx-xxxx or whatever your formatting is.

if you mean that you want to use *99# from a land-line...well that's not going to happen....

I did lodge a query with HP but I did it from work and have been off for the festive season. I did recieve a reply before I started my holidays to the effect that the unit could not do this. I replied querying why, if thats the case, did the user guide tell you how to set it up and why were there fields to enter a number to dial. I am still waiting for the answer to that one.
