SD Card Annoyance

hi people, i would like some help with this problem, i was looking around in the forum but somehow i cant find anything with the search function, anyways, the problem is like this, sometimes i have an app running from the storage card, and for a or b reasons it hangs, freezes crashes etc, whatever the reason i must do a soft reset but when the system restarts it CANT see the SD Card so i need to hard reset the ipaq and load a backup and it's quite time consuming and stupid so anyone knows a workaround this or a fix? or anything maybe a registry hack etc, it has always happened to me, once i hard reset it, all works perfect again, im sure this is a common issue but i cant find any info about it.

Please help, guys?

Also, i want to know if anyone have high latency on wifi with this device, cos being less than 2 feet away from my Access Point i have latency near 500 ms and such (yes i tried with a hard reset and nothing loaded the same thing).

I would look after the soft reset to see if there is a "Storage Card2". I get the same problem with my 6700. It "remaps" the card to "storage card" because of the hang (I believe it has to do with the device not "finding" the card while it hangs and remapping a "new" card). When the device reboots and re-sees the card, it calls it "Storage Card2".

Delete "Storage Card" and soft reset. The device should now "re-see" the storage card without problems.

What about re-booting with the card out and then re-inserting the card to see if the device will then recognize it?

tried it , if i just soft reset without the card , and then reinsert it when it booted it still dont see it, its like somehow some kind of file structure gets damaged or locked and the system stop trying to recognize the storage card but i dont know i think it might need a registry tweak but i havent found anything so far any ideas?

From what I know, only hard reset will fix it.
It normally happened after you open some files on your SD card.
There's a bug which HP haven't fix it.

The soft reset with the card out of the PPC, and then reinserting the SD card worked for me. It showed that a failed attempt to Sync a file had caused the crash.

Good tip, and one I should have already tried.
