Kakin. You have waited too long. You have to do it in seconds, put the iPAQ in BL mode, stick it in the cradle and run the EXE file. Reset your computer first and make sure nothing else is running.
Good luck.

Change English hardware Keyboard to Spanish
Thanks to everyone in this forum. I was just able to convert my HP6340 from Spanish to English. Now what I need to do is make the HARDWARE KEYBOARD function as a Spanish keyboard since it has Spanish keys. Does anyone have a registry hack that will enable the Hardware Keyboard work as Spanish after installing the English ROM?
Thanks....
Jorge

First I think (not sure) you have not downloaded the Original HP SP30393 as well. You have do do it !!
After that you run it - the Original SP30393 and you extract all the files to c:\iPAQ\SP30393.
Now, after you have all the files, you replace the original hpruu.exe with the modified one.
Put your PDA in bootloader mode and run the modified hpruu !
That's the trick !
Good Luck.

Sure it does support SMS. It's the same as in any other 63xx. Did you restore data after this update using iPAQ BACKUP program? This is highly not reccomended after this kind of HR prodedure. Were you succesful in your Language change?

Hi Barr
thanks for bring us the gifts!! nice work... the rom works properly with my 6315 just like it was built originally and now I am looking for a way to update the BootLoader. there are thousands of pages describing how to update the ROM & bootloader splitly on Dopod series, and I believe there should be a way in the world to do it on 6315....
why I am so sure about it? I have tried ROM 30022 before, and the bootloader had been updated from 1.00.01 to 1.00.38. after the update of 30022, the system became more stable, one reason could due to the ROM enhancement, and the other should be the Bootloader(i guess some issues cannot be sloved simply by ROM update). unfortunately, from then on, I have tried at least 30 ROMs including the official (via midway file replacement, not the HPRUU.exe fixing) and the unofficial ones, but none of them updates the Bootloader. do you have any comment on it? i almost ran out of all the ways i can do..
J.K.

Sorry, no idea. My 1.11 ROM runs very good with my 6365 and I'm too busy for anymore investigations about this. If you find a solutions please let us know.

Hi, I'm trying to change my language to Chinese, but I couldn't get it. It's a H6315 from Tmobile, so its orginally ROM was 1.10.08 ENG.
What I did was:
1. Updated the ROM to 1.11 ENG following Set V on lvlolvlo's site. That was successful.
2. Then I found the language pack on his site. But I couldn't update even though I followed the instruction, I believe. All I got was something like "wrong SKU, cannot proceed to update OS" after the update program established connection with the device in BL mode.
3. So I thought it's because the ROM was 1.11, newer than the language pack ROM which is 1.10. So I flashed the ROM back to 1.10.08 ENG using the update from Tmobile. That was successful, although I didn't see any TMO's apps, only the ROM version changed back.
4. The language update again, but the same problem as 2.
Someone help me out? Thanks a lot.

Did you download the Original HP ROM SP30022 from here:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/fi...oad/22599.html
as well as the modified HPRUU "hpRUUSP30022.exe" from here:
http://www.lvlolvlo.net/PDA/LanguagePacks.htm
?
Once you do that extract the Originl HP ROM to c:\iPAQ\SP30022 and replace the original HPRUU with the modified one.
Then, in BootLoader mode, put the iPAQ in the cradle quickly and run the modified HPRUU.
If that does not help tell me. I may have another solution that will force your iPAQ to be updated.
