Has anyone here had any luck getting the 6315 working in Canada on the Rogers network?

I supposedly have an unlocked version (and the upgraded ROM). But everytime I put my SIM into it it says, still initializing card.

Any one have any luck?

The phone you have, suppposedly unlocked, well... isn't. I have mine unlocked in the states and then brought it back over here. Once the sim card goes it, all works fine. So I hipe this helps.

But when I put the t-mobile card in, it does work - it says "looking for a network" as though it was ok.

It's only when I put the non t-mobile card in that it says Unknown SIM Status.

Maybe there's a different question to ask: how can I find out if my phone is unlocked or not?

Just so you know, I'm in Canada, on Rogers, and never had that problem.

Did you have to unlock it via the US or did you go through a separate "offer" via ebay?

I bought mine unlocked off eBay.

Just got an unlock key from ebay and now I'm in full swing.

Awesome and loving it.
Thanks all - now I know to be wary when someone says "oh course it's unlocked already"

What ressailer pls ??

I bought my unlocked 6315 from samona3250. I spoke to him on the phone beforehand and trusted him very much.

For what its worth, beware of the user named "sellularphones". I bought an Audiovox PPC4100 off him in supposed "new, unlocked" condition that turned out to be used and locked. He has had problems with it in the past too if you check out his feedback.
