ROM Language Tricks

Dear guys,
I realize how the ROM reads the language
Realize in the very beginning of the rom file (somewhere close to the header, first couple lines) you find RAT in the word. Its indeed has a 12 characters offset:
See this table attached:

ABCDEFGH
IJKLMNOP
QRSTUVWX
YZABCDEF
GHIJKLMN
OPQRSTUV
WXYZ

RAT, if always look back for 12 chars, then its ENG
For CHT.... clever guys would know how

However, in order to got your rom flashed, you need the great guys help- the modified rom update program in sticky thread does the trick. If you dont use that you will not be able to get past the CRC checking.

Also, you would come across issues sometimes when you try to flash, in that case, take your PPC off the cradle, hold contact and email button, then while holding them pin reset, that would bring you unit to a terminal mode (something similar to parrat in the h3630 centuries), then you could try to flash again.

Good luck guys

Yes you are right, I just added the trick to find the RAT and a table to understand it easier

I think you are the guy who fix the CRC? Thats the major part, thanks!

Also i realize someone else said the offset is 16 chars before... thats why I have reposted these detqails to get people easier to understand.

Anyway, great job man!
