Few questions. I bravely updated 2 H6315 to the hacked ROM update and later to the latest official update.

Could somebody give me a reason why I should not, or on the other hand must update to this hacked 6365 ROM?

It sais it will become a 6365. Does that mean I loose the Camera drivers and software? I know it is a POS cam with it's mindblowing 0.3Mp, but I use it for mu work sometimes when I left my real digicam at home.

And am I correct when I say, I will not have anything from T-mobile back! I'm in the Netherlands/Europe and don't have T-mobile SIMs.

Thanks in advance.

I am using the HP IPAQ 6315, I had used patch 1.11 and it worked well for few days but still had issues so i went back to official 1.08 one and man that sux I had problem immediately. I then tried the 6365 patch and I am so happy, its very fast in responding, so I don't get AIM or Yahoo but who cares I can download the application and run it on GRPS. I say USE THE 6365 patch it work and I am happy so far ( 24 hours and counting). Applied lvlolvlo.net patch Set #5 (V) http://www.lvlolvlo.net/PDA/Set%20V%20Instructions.htm

Arrow Patch

I ditched the T-Mobile ROM a few months ago in favor of the h6365 and have had virtually NO more bluetooth or system crash problems since doing so. Everything still works fine... the only thing you won't have is T-Mobile's software (their email or the phone entry on the home page). I don't use their email since I have a Small Business Server and I use PocketBreeze so I don't miss any of those things from the home page either.

I still think it's a crappy Processor and don't like that there isn't a native landscape view... which is much better for Internet browsing.

But the ROM upgrade made it livable for now.

Talking 6365 ROM Rocks

I too upgraded to the 6365 rom and was able to get my pop3 emails so it wasn't a big deal.

IT WORKED very well.

I upgraded to the 1.11 (Set V) as well, and I can't get my POP3 for some reason. Before when I went to accounts my POP3 account was listed there, now it's not. Now I can set up some POP3 account thing under SMS account, but it never gets anything.

I'm going to go to the TMobile version and see if that works.

After flashing your unit you get only ActiveSync and SMS accounts in your Inbox. The POP3 account has to be added. Go to Accounts-New account and setup your POP3 account.

Yes - unlocked phones remain unlocked. The ROM upgrade does not change the lock/unlock status.

I NEED HELP WITH THE IPAQ 6315`s ROM UPGRADE

I read carefully your post...
I got the http://www.lvlolvlo.net/PDA/ROMUpdate.htm and then choose the ROM 1.11 ( opction V, without the T-Mobile stuff ).

My IPAQ 6315 has the v 1.10.08.
The Activesync version is 4.2 ( newest )

All was doing fine but when I executed the "hpRUU" a got a " Incorrect device SKU! Update cannot continue".

What I did wrong ??

WiFi

Just upgraded to Set V from lvlolvlo site. Awesome.... I have a couple questions though...I can't connect to my secured wireless. I matched the settings between my 6315 and router settings, but it still didn't work. Can anybody help me?

Also, is there a way to keep the batery gauge displayed?

thanks a bunch in advanced.
