3500 and 3100 are different. I did try 3500 (with same modifications) on H6315 and it dd not work. I forget what went wrong. I did not test long because of time and 3500 has some issues on all phones. And 3100 seemed like a good improvement.
I don't understand why there are so many bugs. One reason might be is that Widcomm sold stack to Broadcomm and Broadcomm made changes and broke it.
Any chance anyone could post a "how to" for us non-tech folks? The BT headset issue has me keeping the sleep mode OFF and it's killing my battery life...

thanks!
U can always use the screen off mode to save some battery life.
Do I need to delete any files etc before I install the patch? I have a situation where the BT SW on my ipaq just hangs (out of rrange symptom) inspite of the fact that the headset is always next to my PDA. Cannot simulate it but it has happened several times.
There's nothing technical. The file is a CAB file. Make a system backup. Copy the 3100 path to the PPC root. run it and u are good to go.
Usually its best to do a hard reset then initially install the patch, this will ensure that no apps are causing any conflicts. It it works..well you just have to reinstall all your apps...if it doesn't...then a backup restore is in place.

I tried the patch. I was hoping it would eliminate the popping sound in the HP bluetooth headphones but to no avail. Sadly I've returned them. HP is sure to never get my business again. Carly needs to get her act together.

Ran the patch, and thus far going on 18hrs no issues with my Jabra 250 headset and h6315 with the logo at the bottom right! w00t!
So in conclusion
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
*EDIT* I'm using the 3500 Patch from the first post in this thread...yeah I have a small issue of me having to soft reset the phone to re-enable the bluetooth but no bigge as it's usually not more than once a day avg.
I hard-reset, and that seems to have worked for now.
:/
not thrilled about having to do that, though.
Installing the patch to see if that improves things.
Anyone know an ETA on the official HP / Tmobile patch? the kid i talked to @ tmobile support last night said it was SUPPOSED to have gone out in the 3rd week of december but that there was one bug with it in testing that threw it back to HP, so he didn't know any further at that point.
Jabra 250 is the most troublesome headset on the HTC phones.
The company that released the patches for the i-mate phones (which is what this patch is derived from) specifically called out the Jabra 250 as having problems and to contact Jabra.
Also stay away from HS820 (audio quality is really not very good compared to other headsets).
amen to the Moto HS820 not working with the 6315. I have both the HS820 and HS810. I use the hs820 at work with my v600 because of the awesome battery life it has. The HS810 definitly works better (as far as the audio is concerned) on the ipaq. Though with extensive testing with the 3100 patch MSwlogo put out there is not a big improvement. HS810 works slightly better with the patch.
I work for t-mobile so ill let you guys know as soon as I hear something

I have both a Jabra BT200 and a Motorola HS820 and I have to say I like the HS820 much better then the BT200 (which is basically a BT250 with a dongle adapter for non-BT phones.) The audio quality is as good and the headset itself is lighter and less obtrusive and the buttons are easier to find and use.
