Question HP Bluetooth GPS vs. PocketMap Bluetooth GPS

Hi Folks, there are so many Bluetooth GPS devices & software out there that I am having an 'analysis paralysis'. Both HP & PocketMap seem to be using the same bluetooth GPS device:

HP: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/pscmi..._overview.html

PocketMap: http://www.pocketmapstore.com/ponablgpskit.html

But I see no screenshots from the HP one, so for you HP Bluetooth GPS users out there, does the HP navigation software look as pretty as the PocketMap one?

And I assume that the PocketMap one is compatible w/ my h6315 just like the HP one?

Thank you in advance.

The HP software is different and not quite as full-featured as the PocketMap software appears to be. However, it is very functional and looks simpler than the PocketMap software and menus.

As far as compatibility, as long as it's Bluetooth, it should work.

Thanks for your answer.

I am currently leaning towards using Fortuna's bluetooth GPS Clip-On device w/ PocketMap GPS software. I can mix-n-match hardware w/ software, I assume?

Generally, yes. You may want to check to see if the GPS supports NMEA 0183 standards.
