Thanks for the props, I have to also give my brother credit as he has assisted a bit on this, ESPECIALLY on the new web backend I just brought up, that was mainly his doing and his CF mastery!

I looked at it a little bit after I did the modem enabler. I'm not sure what people would want in it, because a lot of the cleanup guidelines are for optional software. I know I could do whatever, but am not sure exactly what to include in the utility. If someone wants to list everything they would like the utility to do as far as cleanups and such, I can look into it further...

Connecting Quickly

There's a post somehwere in these forums which shows how to speed manual connection to Vision by a few steps by putting a link to \windows\remnet.exe on your Start Menu.

You can also speed your download of the Avantgo material by adding a URL link on your Start Menu. The URL file should read

pods://avantgo/sync

With a single tap (when you're connected), it reaches out to harvest your booty.

Because I use Pocket Plus 2.0, both of these items are on the desktop as icons. I can connect and retrieve web pages with four screen taps instead of the twelve (or whatever) required by going through the settings menu.

Does anyone know which of the following G1000 / PPC updates can be installed to an SD Card:

Windows Messenger Update
Windows Media Player Update
Fonix Voice Dial Update
High Encryption Pack

I just wish that it would allow you to specify a folder when installing to the SD card so that I could put everything in a Program Files folder. I know that some things can be installed this way if you grab the cab file and install it manually.

i have every one of those installed to SD card with the exception of fonix.. which i felt needed to be in main memory.

when you install programs, just select memory card in the drop down instead of the default location...

I scanned and did not see it. Is it possible to delete the useless Clearvue apps? I find it highly unlikely to ever use them.
