I already have Activesync installed on my computer, but when I hook up the G1000-- it tries to find installation software for a generic USB device.

I do not have the companion CD.

Is there software on that CD that would be helpful-- there ought to be somewhere where I could download that. Does anyone have it?

Try restarting the G1000 and the PC and try again?

is this yoru first sync?

what version of AS are you using?

did you use an older ppc device before the g?

does the G charge fine in the cradle?

have you hard reset the deivce?

I removed activesync 3.7, then I upgraded to activesync 4.1 and it worked.
