Camera software questions
Hitachi camera software (CameraAP Version 1.00E and Review/Share 1.00E) creates files with a .SAM extension. I can't find out what these are and how to convert them to something else, like a JPG. Anyone have the low down on this format? Is there any software that will convert it? Is there any software you can use to take pics instead of the Hitachi basic software that comes with the phone? Thanks
OK - I found Rescor Photo Viewer and that at least let's me do a screen grab, but that wouldn't give me the full 640x480 resolution that the .SAM file is being saved at. Then I thought I would try beaming the picture from the G1000 to the laptop via infrared. It beamed as a JPG.
From that point on, now the CameraAP is storing the files as JPGs. I do not know what I did to make it switch from a .SAM format to a .JPG format, but it does work fine now.
