Resurgence and Toshiba SDIO

Hi, first post and just wanted to say I think there maybe a resurgence in the market for this device... why? Because now its affordable on eBay, where I got mine. I always wanted one of these bad boys from day one but could not justify the $650 price tag back then. I know it has it shortcomings, but overall I'm still very excited to have this device, and it looks like the bidding on eBay shows just how attractive this device still is. Granted I wish they had an upgrade to WM2003 or working SMS but oh well.

Another question I had, while I was lurking these forums for several days and searching and still not finding an answer, is has anyone tried the Toshiba Bluetooth SDIO card on this device the one with Headset profile? I notice that the socket communication card still is not fairing well for bluetooth headsets, but I read the Toshiba SDIO bluetooth card had a headset profile so I was wondering if anyone got that to work with the g1000? If not I'll just go buy one of those BT adapters for my speakerphone portion.

Happy to be here and eagerly waiting for Sprint to pickup so I can switch my ESN over and play with this puppy

Bah I paid the 650 for my G1000 when it was brandy new and paid the 650 again for my 6601 the week it came out. I'm glad folks are still playing with the G1000 but I wouldn't give up my 660x for all the G1000's in the land. Have fun with it!

If I could afford the 6601 I would be right there with you But I can't justify spending that much, that would be half the price I paid for my laptop.

But I really enjoy playing with the G1000. Its a shame though that no one at Sprint knows how to get Vision working on this phone (eBay fodder). I have to call them again tonight. bah.
