I believe it's working, log is showing lots of activity, perhaps your recipients aren't getting them for another reason. Either way I believe the backend is functional...

Definitely not working for me. I tried sending an SMS to myself via SMS Monitor and I got nothing. I know I'm reeiving fine since I got stuff from another phone...
I don't suppose anything I can do to troubleshoot?
I also thought it was working because I sent an SMS to a friend, and I thought it worked because it said it was sent instead of showing those HTML script codes. But my friend said he never got the text message.
But I'm still excited and pleased to hear that the SMS Monitor is on a new server and is being worked on =)
Just to chime in. It seems to be working however what most people might be expierencing is a delay. I sent a test SMS from your application and recieved it about 2 1/2 hours later on my phone.
If I can ask would you consider turning over the source? Or, open sourcing it to certain individuals. I'm a proficient programmer in C++ and C# and have developed applications abound. You can view some of my work over at http://sam.contapay.net and I have developed Palm apps using the SDK. If you want to shut the service down would you consider turning it over to someone else to continue? As you can see from my previous post I just got the G1000 so I would like to see it flourish still I have developed application using ranging from a Palm Scribble application (Heads Up!) to internet projects using Catalyst Library tools, Prof-UIS, and VC++ 2003.
Are you using standard SMS email gateways to do SMS messaging? If so maybe a redirection to a free SMS site might be better using HTTP POST methods that way it would reduce dependancy on your test box and give free use to others as I don't think they're are a ton of G1000 users still.
Please send me a PM or an email to the profile I have on file. If not I'll just start from scratch but as a fellow programmer you know, why reinvent the wheel Thanks.
I'm glad to hear it seems to be working, though somewhat delayed. I couldn't find anything on the backend, everything appears to be as it should. Anyway, SMS Monitor originally did a NANPA resolution to determine provider information using a dump of the database info I got from NANPA, the trouble was with number portability and varying methods of sending to each provider things started to get hinky so I changed it over in 2.0 to use teleflip, since then it worked much better. Anyway it's coded in eVB so the source probably wouldn't help with a C++ implementation, however I'd be happy to share any information to help you create a replacement.

I guess I'm just going to be sending SMSes through e-mail from now on. None of my SMSes have actually gone through to anyone, after multiple days of waiting.
I replied. I'm at a loss as to why it's not working for people, I know for a fact it is working for some, so I know the "engine" that makes it work is functioning. Very strange...

I would have tested earlier but my charger broke. My phone has been on dead battery for about a week. Well, I sent an SMS to myself just now, and it took about 1 minute for me to receive it. It works, but just a little slower than before. It appeared:
The message next to the subject name "SMS" with a square box in between. Is the subject always going to say "SMS" by default? Or is there a way for us to write our own subject heading?
I think it's a limitation of teleflip as far as the subject goes. I know the backend is working, if people have problems it must be due to teleflip not able to send messages somehow. Either way I've done all I can at this point guys, my code is working just fine...
