What is UPST and how would I connect to it?
Why do I want to update my phone module?
Why would I want to set up the vocoder?
What "options" can be enabled?
With this information can I make this phone do anything cool/fun/interesting that couldn't be enabled from the normal setup screens?
It seems like everyone wants to "unlock" their phone, but if you can't use a different carrier, what's the point???
Anyone know how to clone a g1000? I have two of them, and would like them to use the same esn, so i can do some performance testing on them. I know I will have to completely power off one of them and can only keep one on at a time. I am using the g1000 as a test platform because it doesn't have EVDO and analog as far as I know.
I also know that the G1000 and I belive the Treo600 share the same modem inside. I also Know that the treo650 is the same modem but with dual bands.
Anyone have a busted Treo 650 that they want to donate to science .
Any Idea how to edit my NAI (Vision Username and password) asside from ##3282, it appears to be locked, I have an issue w/ the G1000 where I get an error during vision provisioning stating "USB is Connected" when there is no USB connected. OTA provisioning also generates this error. I'm bringing my phone into the shop tomorrow, I'm not sure what I can do.
i dont quite understand this cdma phone uncloking.
the seller has provided me with the esn number i have yet to call bell (my cdma provider in canada) and ask if it can be activated or not. One thing i dont understand is if the phone i locked to sprint how do i use it with bell. i read a faq and ist said cdma phones cant be unlocked, im guessing that was wrong.
So basically , corect me if im wrong, unlcoking a cdma phone is basically changing the esn number?
Fox, if you dont mind can you give me specific step by step instructions on how to unlock the g1000 for use with bell mobility.
it is very easy to change supplier with a hitachi G-1000
1) search and download Qualcomm PST this there is in the emule, kazza, or in some sides
2) to have files PRL from the supplier to the one which your you want to change it (PRL = perrefed roaming list)
3) have the MSL code for Hitachi G1000 the msl code of our hitachi G1000 is ##086064
4) to activate modem switch inside the Hitachi G1000, this with PHM regedit.
5) to connect to qualcomm PST and to enter to service programming
Notice:is impossible change the ESN of a hitachi G1000, but what I made it was to clone a Motorola T720 with the same ESN of my Pocket PC and it activates it, then indicate my supplier that me auntentique my it lines in my PocketPC and I list.
I have a g1000 I want to use on Bell Mobility in Canada. I'm a newbie to all this so I need to be educated. The questions below refer to the reply posted on Oct 2.
How do I get the PRL for Bell Mobility?
What is an MSL code, is it different for each handset, and what do you do with it?
How would one activate the modem using PHM Regedit?
What do you mean by "use Qualcomm PST to enter service programming?
A lot of questions I know. It's a steep learning curve!
