Hello. Brand new here. I have searched all 3 pages of the posts for answers to my problem, but have found none. My G1000 does not display what phone environment (ring) mode I have selected ("Outdoor", "Meeting", "Private", or "Office") on my Today screen. I have re-booted. I have checked all through the settings of Today, Phone, Menus, Input, Buttons and Sounds & Notifications, and various sub-categories once in there. I can not find a box to check or uncheck anywhere.

This also happened about 8 months ago. Back then, I went to the Sprint store, where they took the phone in the back room, and returned with it working again (displayed "Outdoor") I asked what they did, and the tech said he just went to phone settings. Like an idiot, I did not ask him to show me exactly what setting he went to. This time, I just went to the Sprint Store yesterday, and the staff all played dumb, professing ignorance of how to fix the G1000, and for me to check my manual, which of course is silent on the matter.

Can anyone on this board help me? Many thanks if so.

do you have the "statusref" box chedk in your today plug ins page? this wil show the sprint logo. next tot he sprint logo you will see tne batery icon and E911 locator. when you use the side switch to select the environment, you will see it pop up ONLY ON THIS LINE. if you do not have the "statusref" checked you will not see these options show up...

It also only displays the top 2 choices on the switch. Meaning that when the switch is in the bottom position there is nothing displayed.

Marc: Affirmative. stausref box is and has been checked. The Sprint, batt and E911 all display, but not the environment.

Thanks, man! The little 3-position switch that I never use on the side of the unit . Thanks again. Wondering if I should go share my info with the Sprint store so others miss the drama......
