Over the weekend Trish and I went looking for raptors... we didnt find any eagles... but we did come across this guy watching his field... he didnt mind us taking his picture... all 100+ that I took of him... these were from about 25 feet from his tree using 1DM2/100-400L/1.4x TC

thanks... this was my first real up close and personal with one... they are always at too much of a distance... today got one circling... but even cropped it was no where close to this...

he wouldnt have had to fly far... you should have seen me duck when he came off the branch...LOL I tried to follow him but I had my 100-400L locked out at 400mm... smooth move on my part... he was within 15 feet of me when he went by...LOL
