A friend has been trying to get me to go out and photograph planes at the airport for weeks, and I finally went today. We had a great time and in about 90 minutes, we had a lot to shoot at. I was using it as an opportunity to get some shooting in with my 400 2.8. I used it with a TC1.4 on one camera, and a 200 on the other. We were in the back of a pickup, and not quite high enough to get over the fence completely.... but we had great fun.
I wonder since it's the same tail number, and the details of the photo are only minutes apart, if the two of you were at the same place???? By chance did you see someone else standing in the truck with you, maybe with a camera?
Nice photo, glad you two had fun. Wish I could come play...

Those are some great shots! I used to work at Ft. Bliss, TX (US Army) for a couple years and we always got to see them pass over from the airforce base in White Sands, NM... they are quite a specticle...

Your pics made me think of my father-in-law's place in NoCal. He loves flying and bought some property on a small airport. No C130s landing here, but we did get a couple of Citation Xs. The Lake Amphibian is Dad's...fun little plane. I took these prior to my D-SLR...didn't realize it was so long ago. Time to take more shots of aircraft.
