New MDA user with a few specific email questions
A friend of mine upgraded to a BB Curve and was nice enough to give me his hardly used MDA. After adding the $20 all-you-can-eat internet plan to my account, I've been using it for a few days and I have a few email related questions which I am hoping someone can help me with.
1) I've set-up my email account(s) through T-Mobile and activated the alerts/triggers on both T-Mobiles web site and on the phone. In general it works OK, but occasionally I don't get a notified of new email. I will send myself a test message (from my home PC) and after an hour, the MDA still has not received it. I will then send a second test message and almost immediately the phone will beep/vibrate telling me I have two new emails; the first one sent 1+ hour before and the one I just sent. I am curious as to why the I wasn't alerted of the first message. Is this normal?
2) I will respond to an email and hit send. The email then sits in the outbox until I either manually initiate a Send/Receive or another email is received for that account (which also initiates a S/R). Is this normal behavior? Perhaps it is for WM5. Is there a way to force the email to be sent immediately without the need for me to click Send/Receive?
