Vista - Windows Mobile Device Center - Change icon - picture to device photo
I figured out a way to allow any photo/icon to be displayed on the Vista Windows Mobile Device Center.
Instructions are here, and please make all comments and questions in that thread, otherwise I might not see them. I also included graphic icons for this device.
