Help needed with qtek 9100 wifi usage

Hi,

I have just joined the forum hoping that my problem would get resolved.

Just bought a qtek 9100 sim free and want to use wifi on it from my home wireless network but when I click on the wifi icon it reads the signals ok but the status continuously remains "connecting" and doesnt change to connected.

Can someone guide me through the process or how to rectify this issue.

Thanks in advance

First off.....are you using any type of encryption on your network? You will need to give a little more information..... Some starting point would be:
Router Brand: Netgear
Encryption:
Channel:
SSID Broadcast:
MAC Filter:

Or if you don't feel like troubleshooting the issue you can try a ROM upgrade which probably won't solve it but at least you'll have a more current OS on your unit....

Go here: http://www.myqtek.com/europe/membera...istration.aspx

Register, download, and install the latest ROM for you device. Then try your wifi.

Alternatively you can head over to XDA Developers and download the latest AKU 3 ROM....I have a small write up on my site as well with links....

Cheers,
