Is Anyone Tethering w/ the T-Mobile MDA?

Is anyone actually using the MDA to tether with their laptop? If it's possible, I'm sure I can figure out how, so I'm not worried so much about the technical details as I am about the realm of possibility.

It seems Verizon's PPC solutions are a bit better, but I'm a rather frugal guy. EDGE should be just fine, bandwidth-wise, and the MDA is dirt cheap with a contract agreement.

I am not sure what you mean by 'tethering'....

But if you mean using it to connect a laptop to the Internet via the MDA, that works like a charm! Doing it via Bluetooth is the easiest way to do it (once you get your laptop a bluetooth adapter if it is not built-in). You just pair the MDA to the laptop and use Dial-up Networking over Bluetooth to make the connection.

It works very well actually. The only problem is that you cannot receive/initiate phone calls while online.

Do a search on this forum for instructions if you need them. There is also a thread on using the MDA as a 'modem' while connected to the laptop via USB cable. I have only done that once --BT is more convenient for me.

I have my laptop connected through my MDA via the USB cable as I type this. I have also connected via InfraRed. My wife does the same thing with her Cingular 8125.

It is quite possible.
