Saving photos to the storage card

I have searched around in this forum, but I cannot find the answer to this. On my PPC6700 I have the option to save photos and video directly to the storage card. However, on the 8125, this option is not there. I tried looking in the registry, but any changes I make on the destination folder cause an error.

Launch your camera
Click on the Options button (looks like a wrench and screw driver)
Click on Tools---Options
Tap General and change the option of "Save to" to Storage Card

That is the problem. That option is not there on my friends 8125. It is there on my 6700, but the 8125 only has Main Memory and Network as options. Perhaps it may be an issue with the camera app not recognizing the storage card?

Ahh....I know I myself have come across this problem.....If I remember correctly I think it was because software fault. My mind is a bit hazy...but one of two things were the case when I ran into this....it was either a cooked ROM that was installed on the unit or it was a camera app I was testing it....I believe it was the earlier.

I know it's not something that anyone really likes doing...but consider a ROM flash.

This is pretty much a stock Cingular 8125 unit. I do not believe that anything in the ROM has been changed. So, the question is to other 8125 owners. Is this a standard option on the 8125? The reason I ask is that the only people to answer this thread are not Cingular customers.

Yes it's a standard option on cingular phones.

Try accessing the card with file explorer, or turning the phone off, remove the card, reinstall the card and turn the phone back on and trying again.

Don't take the card in and out with the phone on, it doesn't much care for that.
