Question Bluetooth Partnership problem

I just purchased a Bluetooth portal speakerphone

to use alongside my QTek 9100.

I am not familiar with Bluetooth technology so I guess I am missing something because I have a problem to make the partnership "permanent". Let me explain in details. I can make the partnership between the two devices working fine. This means that I have the speaker in my car and I can answer my cell phone without much hassle.
My problem is when I am leaving my car and coming back later on the 2 devices don't "see" each other, this means that I have to do "renew" the partnership from the my mobile phone by entering the password again. This is pretty annoying when I am going out and in several times. I was expecting it to be pretty automatic as long as my mobile device had the partnership registered.

It should be automatic....did you consult the manual for the portable speaker system? Does it say anything about this in there?

It sounds like you have made a connection to the device but have not truly paired the two devices. Without performing the pairing process, the two devices may not see each other due to one or the other set to not be discoverable.

Check the instructions for pairing the speaker to a BT device.

I think I have paired the speaker with the phone because I managed to use the speaker. Also the blue light is connected as stated in my user's manual (http://www.cellularforless.com/userg...ser_Guide.pdf).
I just wish I shouldn't have so far to make the connection working I have to enter the passkey every time, pretty annoying

Still having to redo the partnership thing everytime I am using my car.

What do you mean by "truly paired". I can see on my device the icone appearing with the headphone in the Devices list under Bluetooth

That is odd then...

This should not be the case since the devices are paired but... are both devices 'discoverable'? Perhaps the speakerphone thingy needs to have the phone discoverable in order to automatically connnect to it.

Hi,
My Qtek s100 doesn't see the blutalk at all. I am all out of ideas on why that is.
