No audio on bluetooth, only phone calls?

Everytime I try to listen to audio on my Bluetooth I hear music thru the bluetooth for just a second or so then it opens Voice Speed Dial.
I switched from sprint 6700 to this Cingular 8125, I could do it on the 6700, is anyone else having this same problem? I am using a motorola Bluetooth, would a different brand Bluetooth work, am I doing something wrong, or is it just not possible on the Cingular 8125?

I did, and it pulled up 2 posts, both of them were mine, so I guess the answer is you cannot listen to BTaudio on a cingular 8125 right?

The answer is that you can, if the headset supports the proper profiles (hands-free and headset.) The 8125 does not have the BT toggle application that was written for the 6700, but it can still work.

Of course, stereo headphones work great with the 8125 and an A2DP profile installed.

BT Toggle

Here, try this! If you place the BTAudioToggle.exe file in a folder on your device, then make a shortcut to your program group, you can use it that way. I assigned it to one my hardware buttons, and when I want it, I just hit the button, and voila! away I go. It works really well, and takes up VERY little space on your device... Enjoy

BT audio on handsfree

This solution works fine with a headset.

Is it possible to connect a handsfree unit?
It has not button to connect to the pda.
The connection should be initiated on the pda.

Is there a tool to open the audio gateway and then start BTaudioOn?

Thanks a lot for you help!

Nice file - got it installed on my storage card, but how do I get BTAudio to appear in my Programs listing so I can assign it to a button?

I just bought a Shure headset/ phone setup as it's nice to have the ear plugs on flights and when waiting in the airport/ train station/ or in a cab. But I like to use a BT headset when driving...

Thanks for the file and info, gang!

How to assign a botton to the BT audio toggle

Just want to say this is what I was looking for also. Here is how to assign it to a button. after you have unzipped it and added it to your PDA. just double click on the BT Audio Toggle to install it. After it is installed move the BT Audio Toggle cut and paste it into this folder. My Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs. After you place it in this folder close this window and got to Start button/ settings/Buttons. Open this program and you should see the BT Audio Toggle in the list of programs. Now just assign a button to it and your set. I put it on my email button because I don't use that one for email. Hope this helps if you have any problems just send me a message and I will try to explain it a little better.

BT Audio Toggle

Put the toggle executable in a folder in your program files folder, and create a shortcut. Next, take this shortcut and place it in a folder in your start menu folder. It will now appear in your programs group. Also, you will now be able to map a button to it using the Settings... Buttons applet...

Hope that helps... PEACE!!!

Can you tell me more about this?
I'm looking for something simular to the ones that came with the phone, but in an earplug style, rather than earbud style. I don't care if it's BT or not.

I can find plenty of mono sets that have mics, or stereo sets without mics, but not both.

Wow! am listening to my music on my xv6700 w/ a motorola bt in the TV room and nobody is yelling at me to turn it off! Thanks for this post, but it took a few mins to get it configured. I didnt realize i had to copy the entire file folder to the windows start menu. Can I somehow configure this program to where i hit the bt headset button that i can start my ms voice command? Great program!

Plantronics has a set of Bluetooth stereo headphones that has a microphone. It works GREAT with the MDA for both incoming phone calls and for playing MP3s.

And it is smart enough to 'pause' music when the phone rings. You can answer the phone and when the call ends, the music will begin playing automatically. The headphones have buttons for play, next/previous track, pause, volume up/down, and buttons for to answer/hangup the phone.
