Kjam Cingular carrier settings

I just got a kjam and i cant find a link to get the cingular carrier settings. The one from wireless imports no longer works. i need to get this link so i can access the internet. if anyone could help me so that i can get internt on my kjam or how to get the settings correct please email at dylanknee@yahoo.com thanks and merry christmas

I got the settings from the imate web Site. First register With the online club' Than, go to Downloads and look for the cingular cab file.

Hopefully you have found an answer by now, but in case not..here you go...

For MY ISP (GPRS Data settings)

Click on Add a new modem connection
Give it a Name: GPRS DATA (or whatever tells you what you need to know)
Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Click NEXT
Access point name: isp.cingular
Click NEXT
Username: WIXDC001@W5.MYCINGULAR.COM (case sensitive)
Password: ZXY203DC9K0402 (case sensitive)
Click FINISH.

For MY WORK NETWORK (GPRS WAP)

Click on Add a new modem connection:
Give a name: GPRS WAP (again, whatever)
Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Click NEXT
Access point name: wap.cingular
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (case sensitive)
Password: CINGULAR1 (case sensitive)
Click FINISH
You should be back on the My Work Network screen.
Click PROXY SETTINGS
CHECK "This network connects to the Internet"
CHECK "This network uses a proxy server......"
leave the Proxy server field blank
click on ADVANCED
for WAP and SECURE WAP enter: 66.209.11.61, they should be Ports 9201 and port 9203 respectively.

These settings do not seem to work on the QTek 9100, even though it is the same phone as the KJam. Clube Imate told me they would not support it because it was not "officially" an IMate. Still looking for a solution.

I checked the a QTEK reseller store site here's what they said:


"4) Qtek phones work with AT&T, T-Mobile & Cingular Call us to discuss Qtek reviews, Qtek GPRS settings, T-Mobile, Cingular carriers. We have the Qtek technical support numbers as well as a direct line to Qtek in USA."

Hey I called Cingular and they gave me this number for PDA/Smartphone support: 800 304 3044

I'll post the settings they gave me that WORK!

1. Go to Connection
2. Click on Advanced Tab
3. Select "Select Networks"
4. Click on "New"
5. Type in "GPRS" then OK
Then repeat steps 1-3
6. Select the GPRS from the drop down menu
7. Click "Edit"
8. Where it says enter a name for the connection type GPRS
9. Where it says select a modem choose :Cellular Line (GPRS)
10. Click next and type in "wap.cingular"
11. click next and type in as follow...(case sensitive)
User Name: WAP@CINGULAGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
12 Click FINISH

Follow these steps and you're all set!
