Recently
ColorwarePC announced they were offering users the ability to customize their BlackBerry in a way you never had before. After reading other threads over at two other BlackBerry forums
BlackBerry Forums and
Crackberry I decided to take the plunge and get the color I want on my BlackBerry.
First I will say this is not for the faint of heart it does take up to 3-4 weeks to complete the process so if you don't have a backup BlackBerry (you may get blackberry withdrawal) or at least a back up mobile phone you might want to find one.
One of the coolest things about what ColorwarePC is you get to customize your colors your way and you can do this on your 81xx, 83xx and 88xx phones (plus the
iPhone and sidekick).
On the 8100 you can customize the main, bottom, sides and back, on the 8300's you can also do the main, bottom, sides and back but on the 8800's you can do the main, front bottom, sides, top back and bottom back allowing for even more color combo's.
In the color selection process you can choose from an array of solid colors in either metallic and non-metallic colors and mix and match what you want.
I sent my BlackBerry 8820 in on 2-13, they received it on 2-14 and it is projected to be back on either 3-6 or 3-7 sine I opted for the over night delivery back to me hoping it would return in time for my upcoming trip.
I will post pics and more thoughts (along with a short review) on the finished product.
