can you send an sms message from the 2032 on sprint's cdma network out of the box or do you need third party- software. If so can someone please tell me the steps to take from inbox? Thanks, all help is appreciated.

I have the 2032SP but I use Verizon and their watcher software.

the sprint phone s/w doesn't have SMS.

You might want to try the Verizon upgrade and see if it works.
Make sure you have a backup and the software to redo sprints phone set up just in case.
